Gap Outfit by Classic RedesignAfter traveling for over 12 hours in the car today, I came home to finda wonderful Gap code in my inbox from a great friend. If you have ever traveled with two kids under the age of 3, you know that some retail therapy is needed!
I didn't buy the necklace, but I think the outfit needs a pop of color. I'm not sure how to accessorize though. After reading the new post on
Inside Out Style tonight, I learned that color needs to come in 3s, so I'm a bit confused on how to accessorize? Maybe a silver necklace and earrings?
I picture myself wearing this for a casual night in with my husband and kids, a day of running errands with the kids, or lunch and shopping with girlfriends. What do you think?
Was Imogen's comment more for when you're combining head to toe the same neutral? Like if you had a khaki top and pants? But I agree it needs something... maybe a bag, shoes + necklace or earrings? If you have short legs though, colourful shoes may not be a great choice.
ReplyDeleteI just re-read that post and you are right Mel! Thank you! I'm not one on colorful shoes, but I love the idea of a colorful bag. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteGreat outfit, Andrea! I especially love the cardigan!
ReplyDeleteMel is right - these are 3 very different neutrals, so a pop of oclour with an orange necklace would work.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes - don't go for the ooloured shoes if you have short legs!
Thanks for posting Rocio! I love it too. I can see me wearing it a lot. I think it would even work in the spring as a light jacket.
ReplyDeleteImogen, I never knew that about short legs and colored shoes! I do tend to shy away from them. I really want a read pair though! :)
Thanks for the update about the neutrals, I'm on the hunt for a necklace.
