Wedding Outfit Drama!

My college roommate got married last Saturday. It was a beautiful wedding. She looked so beautiful and was just glowing. I'm not going to post pictures of her because I'm not sure she would want them on the Internet. So, you'll just have to take my word for it.

I bought a dress for the wedding from J.Crew. I wrote about it here. I started having seconds thoughts about it a few days before the wedding. I liked it, but would I feel comfortable in it? The wedding took place in a church, but the reception was outside under a big tent. How would I feel there?

I started to panic. I was in IL visiting my family and the only store that had dresses that I would consider was Dillard's. I shopped there 2 days looking for a new dress. I finally told my husband to bring an outfit I had recently bought from Boden.

The day of the wedding I tried on both outfits for my husband and my best friend Missy. Of course my husband picked one outfit and Missy picked the other.

Boden:
In the end I went with the safe outfit from Boden. I was very comfortable, but felt very old. Why do I always do that? I wish I could take more risks with my clothing..

Stuffed Peppers

Another recipe from my Mother-Inlaw! I was not a big fan of peppers, but after a few weeks of forcing them in my diet I am actually starting to like them. They have to be very tender for me to even try them though.

Ingredients:

4 Green Peppers
1/2 c. chopped onions
1/2 lb. ground beef
1 Tbsp. margarine/butter
1 can Tomato Soup
2 Cups Cooked Rice
1 tsp. worchestershire sauce
Salt and Pepper to taste

(1 very cute 3 year old cutting her onion to help you out!)
Remove tops and stems from peppers. Cook in boiling salted water about 5 minutes. Brown beef and onions. Stir in 1/2 can soup and remaining ingredients.
Spoon mixture into peppers.
Place in 1 1/2 QT. casserole dish. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Heat and serve remaining sauce over peppers.

This was a big hit. My husband loves it because it reminds him of his childhood. I liked it and that is saying a lot because I tend to be on the picky side. :)

The Garden

A few months ago I mentioned to my husband that I would like to plant a garden this year. He planted a small garden a few years ago with mostly tomatoes and halfway through the summer we both let it go.

As you can see, we planted a lot of items. These pictures were taken almost a month ago, so all the plants are firmly planted and growing nicely. I hope to post some fun recipes for all our new veggies!

It's Official!

My baby is officially on the move!

We're Back!

We had a wonderful time at "The Sweetest Place on Earth". Traveling with two little children is not easy, but we both tried to stay positive and not let the tiredness get the best of us.

I highly recommend this trip to anyone with small children. It was really fun and the kids loved it.
