Winter Blues

The past few weeks I have been feeling very uninspired. I think it is a combination of short dreary days and record breaking cold temperatures. I have been putting together some better outfits, but I haven't been taking any pictures! I promise to take some pictures soon.

Last weekend I did go to the Outlet Mall. I was very proud of myself. I usually go crazy there buying items just to buy and not worrying about it. I was very picky with my choices and came away with some great basics. The biggest news of the trip was that I didn't stop at the Old Navy store! I was very tempted, but I walked by with only one glance backwards. ;)

A New Handbag

I haven't bought a new handbag in over a 2 years. 4 years ago I bought a Coach purse in Las Vegas while my husband was gamblings. I had won big at the MGM Grand and I used my winnings to buy a classic black handbag.
2 summer ago I bought another Coach purse in green with brown accents. It has a great shape, and I love the bright green color.
Yesterday when I was looking at skirts on Anthropologie's website I came across this bag. I love it! I love to carry bright bags during the Spring/Summer. It looks big enough for a diaper and some wipes and maybe even a bib and onesie. All the things you need when you travel with small children.
The only thing I don't like about it is the price. I'm not sure it would be classic enough to get me through a few years.
I noticed while I was shopping at Target that they had many new handbags in this same shape. I might pick one up for the summer.
What do you choose when looking for a handbag? A classic that will stay with you for many years or a cheaper one that is for one season only?

Going Back to an old Favorite

In my old life as a school teacher and wife I used to wear skirts all the time. I loved them. I would wear skirts in all seasons, long and short. Running late, throw on a skirt. Parent-Teacher Conferences, skirt and a blazer. First day over 50 degress, bring out the Spring skirts!

Once I became a Mom and spent most of my time sitting on the floor, climbing on the play equipment on the playground, or crawling through tunnels at the local play area I ditched the skirts. As anyone who has had a child knows, your body changes after having children as well, so many of them didn't fit the same way either.

I've decided that this spring/summer I'm going back to my old favorite. I feel comfortable in a skirt. I feel more "put together" when I have one on, if that makes sense.

I know I'll have to choose my days, but I vow to own more skirts this spring/summer. I found the above skirts at Anthropologie.

Old Navy, I wish I could quit you!

Hello, my name is Andrea and I'm addicted to Old Navy. Admitting your problem is the first step, right?

I don't know if it is the appeal of cheap trendy clothes, or the fact that I have one less than 2 miles from my home that has aisles wide enough for my double stroller that keeps me going back. I know I can get there in the short window of time that my baby boy has between feedings and naps and I know I can strap both kids in the stroller.

Anyone else? What's the one store that you know you shouldn't shop, but you just can't stop yourself?
